Edy Hurdle
Senior Consultant

Edy Hurdle joined Whitney Jones, Inc. in 1996. She serves as a Senior Consultant directing numerous capital campaigns with goals totaling nearly $150 million. Projects have been located in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Raleigh, Yadkinville, Pilot Mountain, Blowing Rock, Davidson County, Rockingham County, and Surry County. She has led organizations through volunteer training, campaign surveys, and capital campaigns. In addition, she has worked with clients on major gifts, annual fund, and endowment projects as well as a Salvation Army Mission Study and a Strategic Plan.


Edy has extensive grant writing experience, having coordinated the development of proposals to local, regional, and national sources for numerous campaigns that resulted in grants ranging from $5,000 to $1,000,000, including grants from the SECU Foundation, the Kresge Foundation of Troy, Michigan, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and The Duke Endowment.


Prior to joining Whitney Jones, Inc., Edy was Development Officer for Brenner Children’s Hospital, as well as Special Events Coordinator at WFU Baptist Medical Center (now Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist). Prior to joining the not-for-profit sector, Edy was Director of Communications for the Charlotte office of KPMG Peat Marwick.


Edy currently serves on the Board of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) of Winston-Salem. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Salem College and her Associate’s degree in Business from Peace College (now William Peace University). She resides in Winston-Salem, NC, with her husband Ed, and they have two adult children.
